David Hill - Willamette Valley Pinot Noir Estate 2019MFW
Willamette Pinot Noir at this price point, need we say more? We will! David Hill Winery estate started its legacy way back in 1883. It wasn't until after prohibition (when the original vines were ripped out and replaced) that new vines were planted in 1965 thanks to Charles Coury brining back a suitcase of clones from Alsace white grapes and Burgundy Pinot Noir! These days, the vines and wines are overseen and produced by Chad Stock (a huge player in the Oregon natural/biodynamic wine culture). This wine is what we find wonderful of well-crafted domestic wines. It's has unmistakeable cherry notes with hints of clove and smoke. Perfectly approachable and pairs well with all the things.
