Dolores Cabrera Fernández - Valle de la Orotava La Araucaria Tinto 2022

Behind La Araucaria is a team of women. Dolores Cabrera starting making her own wine in 2014, naming the wine after the type of Evergreen tree that grows on the Canary Islands and where one large one sits right outside her winery. The vines are about 650m above sea level and located in the appellation of Valle de la Oratava. The wine is undeniably a signature of the Canary Islands made from 100% Listan Negro. Its a bit smoky with hints of peppercorn, red and black fruits and ripe gripped tannin. The perfect compliment to charred octopus and grilled meats.
