Amanda is made from 30-90 year-old Garnacha Tintorera vines grown on clay-calcareous & alluvial soils at 700- 1000 meters elevation in the Olmos de Duero valley of Ribera del Duero. The grapes were pressed without any contact with the skins, and fermented in steel vat with wild yeasts then raised in tank with the winter temperatures naturally clarifying the finished wine, which is bottled with nothing added and nothing taken away.
This high-altitude, old-vine fruit produces a rosé with vibrant acidity and complex flavors. The wine has a pale pink color and displays notes of red berries, citrus, and floral aromas. It has vibrant acidity and a complex flavor profile. The wine is described as having a "tart" taste with "smooth tannins and refreshing acidity". It also has "notes of cherry and boysenberry" and a "slightly funky, saline, savory edge".
Given these flavor profiles, the Amanda Rose 2022 would likely pair well with:
- Light seafood dishes like grilled fish, ceviche, or raw oysters
- Salads and vegetable-forward dishes
- Charcuterie and cheese boards
- Simple pasta dishes or pizza
