Altos de Montanchez - Extremadura Vegas Atlas Orange Wine 2022

A blend of local grapes from Extremadura - Cayetana and Pardina. Certified organic with some biodynamic principles - grown over clay soils at 550m elevation. One month maceration, fermentation with indigenous yeast in cement tanks, followed by around 3 months further aging in concrete deposits. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, and a tiny bit of SO2 at bottling..

This skin-contact wine has a stunning amber hue from one month of contact and three months in amphora, showcasing earthy tones, stone fruit, and pear notes. It is noted for its acidity, making it an excellent complement to rich dishes like holiday ham.
