Gober & Freinbichler - Burgenland Chill! 2025

This is an estate we met through Franz Weninger and that we’ve supported through our “Vineyard Project” label. These two guys are young and just present a side of Burgenland we don’t see too much: classical and restrained and fairly priced.

The Zweigelt (the dominant grape) gives the wine force and dark fruit, the Merlot and Blaufrankisch, a bit of mid-palate weight and herbal complexity. But in the end, this is just a graceful, buoyant light red to chill with… also, it can and maybe should be served chilled. - Vom Boden

Ultra-light, juicy, and fruit-driven with a silky, refreshing texture, virtually no heavy tannins, and a lively, zesty acidity.  Pair with cheese and charcuterie boards, pork dishes and light meat courses.
