Mineral driven: chalk, crushed stone, maybe wet stone. Under that, ripe but precise fruit — yellow orchard fruits (pear, maybe apple), maybe a hint of quince; citrus touches (lemon‑zest or grapefruit). Some herbal/spice nuance: green peppercorn, sage, possibly faint herbal tea.
Dry (trocken), with solid ripeness from old vines. Crisp, but the acidity is more mature, not razor‑sharp but balanced. Mineral and saline backbone, juicy fruit without being flashy. Green herbal/spice notes may come through. Some texture due to fine tannins. The finish is likely long, stony, salty, sustained.
Should be drinkable now and give a lot of pleasure, especially from fruit & minerality. But likely also built for aging — 5‑10 years or more, depending on storage, to see more nuance.
