A distinctive rosé wine produced by Jolie-Laide Wines, based in Sonoma, California. The name "Jolie Laide" translates to "Pretty-Ugly," a French term of endearment for something unconventionally beautiful.
Harvested in mid-September and early October, both grape varieties were kept separate during the winemaking process to preserve their distinct qualities and allow for a decision on the final blend. To ensure the retention of acidity and freshness in the wine, the grapes were whole cluster pressed to stainless steel for native yeast fermentation and then rested in neutral puncheons before blending and bottling.
Aromas of white peach, wild blossoms, and zesty grapefruit lead to flavors of tangerine, honeydew, fresh strawberry, and a subtle touch of pink Himalayan salt on the finish.
