La Porte Saint Jean - Les Cormiers Saumur 2021

The 2021 La Porte Saint Jean - Les Cormiers Saumur is a red wine produced by winemaker Sylvain Dittière in the Saumur-Champigny appellation of the Loire Valley, France.

The wine is made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes sourced from 70-year-old vines in the Les Cormiers vineyard.  The grapes are hand-harvested and the wine is fermented in fiberglass tanks before being aged for 18 months in old Bordeaux barrels.

Notes of tart red cherry, blackcurrant, leather, prune jam, and floral aromas

Pair with gamey meats, such as venison or game terrine, roast white meats, like chicken or pork, braised dishes, steak!
