More of a spirit than a sweet liquer.  On the nose: Mint, fennel, citrus peel, alpine herbs. On the palate, bold herbal blast (mint + anise forward), layered botanicals (lemon balm, verbena, spice), subtle sweetness balancing bitterness. 

The finish is long, warming, and slightly bitter (gentian-like) with lingering herbs
