Our Red Table Wine is a love letter to the historic field blends of California, made from pre-prohibition era vineyards. Crafted to be consumed early, often, and in warm months slightly chilled. This vintage combines a blend of Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Carignan, and Zinfandel. Our Red Table Wine was crafted specifically for easygoing gatherings with friends and is the perfect accompaniment for weeknight dinners or casual get-togethers. With a light body and mellow tannins, it’s an easy-drinking red that pairs well with a variety of dishes.
This proprietary blend combines Zinfandel from Lodi's century-old Stampede Vineyard with Cinsault from the younger vines of the Sprague Vineyard, also in Lodi. Completing the blend is a cofermentation of Mourvèdre, Carignan, and Zinfandel, all sourced from the 1890s plantings of the Evangelho Vineyard in Contra Costa County. Vibrant acidity and structure, with a light body and supple tannin.
Fermented in traditional open-top fermenters and aged in a combination of puncheons and barriques for eleven months. Seventeen barrels produced.
Light-to-medium bodied with a soft, silky texture, vibrant acidity, and fine-grained tannins. Crushed red and dark berries, fresh cherry, raspberry, plum skin, and pomegranate, layered with herbal and savory touches of mint, sage, sarsaparilla, cinnamon, and cracked pepper.
