Outward Wines - Pinot Noir Bassi Vineyard 2023
Outward Wines - Pinot Noir Bassi Vineyard 2023
Located just 1.2 miles from the cold Pacific, Bassi is the most coastal site we source from and is farmed organically with biodynamic practices and inputs. The Dijon clone 115 Pinot from this block is planted on a southwest-facing hillside exposed to the cool wind and fog from the Pacific.
Upon harvest, it is fermented with 50% whole cluster inclusion, performing foot stomps and gentle punchdowns for 11 days before pressing and then aging in neutral French oak barrels for 10 months. Lovely herbal tones compliment the lush dark fruit concentration of this powerful wine.
