Peter Lauer, Riesling Ayler Trocken No. 25 2024

This is a bone dry Riesling from Peter Lauer’s Ayler portfolio — specifically his No. 25 bottling, named for the 25th barrel in the cellar rather than a vineyard designation. It’s crafted from fruit grown on the Scheidterberg and Rauberg slopes near Ayl and represents an expressive village-level Riesling with a strong sense of terroir. Notes of citrus, hints of white flowers, green tea, a hint of spice. 

Pair with shellfish, sushi, salads, light Mediterranean dishes, grilled fish with herbs.
