Quantum Winery Sonntag Geschlossen - MV Grüner Veltliner "Swimmbad" MV

The name "Sonntag Geschlossen" roughly translates to "closed on Sundays," a humorous nod to how infrequently the winery operated for years. This particular bottling was made possible through his association with Florian Schuhmann-Irschik of Quantum Winery.

The prolonged aging results in a complex and ethereal Grüner Veltliner. Despite its age, it maintains freshness and energy, with notes of citrus, earth, garden herbs, and minerality. The 2002–2010 blend has been described as seamless and integrated, showing a certain evolution that comes with long aging.

The "MV" stands for "multi-vintage." The "Schwimmbad" is a blend of various Grüner Veltliner vintages, from 2002 to 2010, which were left to age in barrel for an extended period.
