Scar of the Sea -Syrah, Bassi Vineyard, SLO Coast 2024

The 2024 Syrah comes from southwest hillside plantings at the Bassi Vineyard, 1.2 miles from the Pacific Ocean. 

The fruit was harvested in the middle of October and fermented with native yeast and with 100% whole cluster.  The wine was pressed in our wooden basket press and then aged for 10 months in a combination of large format 500L barrels and 225L barrels.  

Think purple flowers, black olive, cracked black pepper with fresh tannins. 

72 cases produced | 12.5% alcohol
